Cemat Silicon SA is a hi-tech private joint stock company. We are a supplier of high quality silicon wafers. Cemat Silicon SA produces electronic-grade silicon ingots using Czochralski single crystal growth method and manufactures silicon wafers for semiconductor industry.

Cemat Silicon products include wafers:

- Epitaxy wafers (epi), - polished, - lapped

 

with diameters:

- 150 mm, - 125 mm, - 100 mm, - 3"

All customised Cemat Silicon SA wafers meet tight mechanical and electrical parameter specifications according to SEMI Standards. On customer request we can produce wafers with tighter and different parameters than SEMI Standards calls for.

Monthly output:

140,000 pcs/month as 100 mm polished wafer equivalent.
Our speciality is the customised production of small and middle volume quantities (50020000 wafers per month.)

We are ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified company. The following are the scope of registrations of certificate “The production of electronic grade silicon single crystals and wafers for semiconductor industry.” We have been certified since 2002.

Past & Present:

The story of our silicon wafers plant started in mid of 1968 when first manufacturing unit called CNPME was estabilished as state owned company. Up to the beginning of the nineties all silicon production was aimed at domestic customers and Polish made silicon wafers were unknown to the world-wide market. In 1992, following the rapid economical change in Poland, a private joint stock company, Cemat Silicon SA was established. Due to a domestic market slow down, the main task for the new company was to enter the area of export production.
Although the basic staff was technically and technologically experienced, the whole company had to deal with plenty of serious transformations.
As a result, at the beginning of our activity, just 60 people worked for the company and at present, we employ 300 persons of which 36 are engineers. Cemat Silicon SA successfully sells its products to many prestigious American, Asian and European customers. We work with our customers and are open to their individual requirements and non-standard product needs. Due to our very close cooperation with The Institute of Electronic Material Technology (ITME), in addition regular customer service, we offer to our customers sophisticated and exact analytical and research methods.

Raw Materials:

The whole production is based on materials supplied by commonly known companies such as (in alphabetical order): Entegris, Fujimi, General Electric, Hemlock, Mitsubishi (USA), Quartz & Silice, Rohm and Hass, SGL-Carbon, Toshiba, Wacker and many others.

Equipment:

The equipment being in Cemat Silicon use, have been made by following well-known makers: Leybold Heraeus, Meyer-Burger, HCT, Peter-Wolters, SVG, FSI, STC, ADE, CSD - EpiPro 5000, Gemini, etc.
